Description
Mullein is a flowering plant that is used as an herbal remedy for a variety of respiratory problems. The leaves are dried and used as an infusion or tea. Mullein is also used as a treatment for animals, including bronchial and lung problems, internal bleeding, diarrhea, pain, rheumatism, swellings, cuts, wounds and skin problems.

Respiratory remedy

AS A TEA
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried leaves. Infuse for 10 -15 min. Strain and drink 3 times a day. A little dried spearmint or some raw honey can be used to enhance flavour.

Mullein may, in rare instances, trigger allergic reactions (contact dermatitis); particularly in individuals with sensitive skin or who are allergic to plants in theAsteraceae family (such as ragweed, daisies, or marigolds). These allergic reactions may include skin rashes, irritation, or respiratory symptoms, especially when handling mullein leaves or inhaling the herb. If any such symptoms are experienced discontinue use of the product immediately. If unsure it is advised to conduct a patch test before use.
